Phil Tyler Bio

 

Phil Tyler is a Western Australian actor & playwright specialising in one-act plays either as a co-writer or solo. Plays include Miracles do happen, A Day too late, Leonard, A series of small fires, Born-again and Nisi Mutata. Writing awards include Best Original Play, three times at the West Australian Southwest Drama Festival. Play types are primarily comedies and drama. Phil’s plays are all initially performed by the Donnybrook Theatre Troup of which he is a member. Phil also treads the boards himself and has twice been awarded Best Male Actor in Drama Festivals.

You are sure to enjoy this quirky comedy from Australian playwright, Phil Tyler. This twisty tale involves conniving adult kids maneuvering to maximize their inheritance. Their wealthy dear old Dad, however, has other ideas, much to his children's dismay

A SERIES OF SMALL FIRES

On a much more serious note, Phil Tyler, with co-author, Treena Thorpe, have crafted a gripping, emotionally-charged drama around an estranged father and son. They attempt to come to terms with the best way to fit into each other's life after years of separation.
